The natural burial meadow at Little Meadle lies within the The Aylesbury Vale, a large area of gently rolling agricultural landscape located in the northern half of Buckinghamshire. Its boundary is marked by Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and the town of Aylesbury to the north; the Chiltern Hills to the southeast; Princes Risborough and High Wycombe to south; Thame and Oxford to the west and Bicester and Brackley due northwest. The views from the burial meadow extend westwards towards the Chilterns and the Coombe Hill Monument. VisitThe site is open all year round during daylight hours so please feel free to visit without making an appointment. The pedestrian gate is always open.

Head southeast on Church Lane toward Malthouse Square (Partial restricted usage road). Take the 2nd left onto Church St. Turn right onto High St. Turn left onto Horns Ln/A4010. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto New Rd/A4010. At the next roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Longwick Rd/A4129. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Lower Icknield Way/B4009. Turn left onto Stockwell Lane. The entrance to the burial ground is on the left hand side just after the left hand turning to Owlswick. Parking - There is ample room for fifty plus cars. |
